BOROUGH

Golf holiday in a Medieval borough

Toscana Resort Castelfalfi, an ancient medieval village with over 1,000 years of history, is in the heart of Tuscany, only 60 km from Florence, 50 km from Pisa, and a 20-minute drive from San Gimignano and Volterra, the two Medieval towns famous for the towers.

The settlement of Castelfalfi "ll Borgo" has been carefully restored since 2007 to become what it is today. The resort includes two five-star hotels, Il Castelfalfi and "La Tabaccaia", 2,700 acres of protected terrain replete with vineyards, olive groves, lakes, and a wildlife reserve, comprised of an upscale collection of apartments and villas, an expansive wellness spa, and three restaurants specializing in authentic Tuscan and Italian cuisine.

Castelfalfi is a destination within itself.

The 27-hole golf course, the largest in Tuscany, is scenic among the olive trees. The 18-hole Mountain Course was remodelled in August 2010 and the 9-hole Lake Course opened in November 2011. In addition, a driving range with 10 covered tee-markers, two putting greens and an area for short pitch.  Both courses were designed by the architects Preissman and Moroder.

Mountain Course: 18 holes par 72; Lake Course: 9 holes par 37

In October 2020 Castelfalfi Golf Club inaugurated the new Clubhouse and a pro shop where it is a pleasure to stop any time of the day.
