RYDER CUP 2023  MARCO SIMONE GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB

Marco Simone Golf & Country Club in Guidonia, 20 km from Rome, will be the official hosting venue of the Ryder Cup from Sept. 30 to Oct. 2, 2023.

The course has been extensively renovated and provided with a last-generation drainage. The new Ryder Cup Course, with its ups and downs, requires good shape from those who intend to play walking. The greens are quick and hard, and the technical characteristics of the course are challenging with the eleven doglegs and the ball rarely on flat ground.

PRE AND POST TOURS

Book your tours in advance because Italy is worth a journey before or after the Ryder Cup.

With our assistance, you'll get the best of the both worlds: golf and non-golf.

We are the only golf tour operator based in Rome specialized in golf holidays in all of Italy.

Since 2014 we are members of the International Association of the Golf Tour Operators (based in UK), and an accredited Golf Promoter for the Lazio Region (where Rome is located).

ROME

In the Lazio Region in Central Italy, Rome is the capital city of Italy and the largest city with its 3 million inhabitants.
Even though Rome's extraordinary long history and its strong reputation as a cultural destination may not lead to thinking of it as a golf destination, several excellent golf courses are reachable in 20 to 50 -minute drive from Rome city centre. The natural configuration of the landscape with extensive open spaces makes the region ideally suited to golf activity.

Transfers

Book airport, golf course and hotel transfers in advance.

Renting a car in Rome is not practical because of the traffic limitations, especially in the historic centre, the narrow streets and expensive garage fees. Booking transfers from the airport at your arrival to the hotel and roundtrips to the golf courses is the best solution.

Olgiata Golf Club

Inaugurated in 1961 the course is divided into two parts, West and East, for a total of 27 holes. The West Course, the oldest of the two, consists of 18 holes. In 2012 the course was re-designed almost completely by the American architect Jim Fazio to conform to the new requirements and is now ready to host International Tournaments. The newly created East course is a 9-hole par 36, for a length of 2,947 meters. Far from being an executive course, it is a real course of its own, on which games and various competitions are played.

The golf magazine Golf Digest ranks Olgiata Golf Club among the 100 Best Golf Courses at 68th position.

Golf Club Roma Acquasanta

Italy's oldest and the most traditional golf club (with Golf Club Ugolini in Florence), in 2013 Golf Roma Acquasanta celebrated its 110 years of activity.

The Golf Club Roma Acquasanta has been able to renew itself remaining attached to its wonderful roots and to the “links”, to the water, and to the historical landscape from which it was born and was realized. It has remained a very entertaining and delicate golf course with some unique glimpses of Rome along the ancient Via Appia.

Castelgandolfo Golf Club

18 holes, three lakes, 93 bunkers….a single glance! Architect Robert Trent Jones Sr. put his own brand on a golf course unique in the world: the basin of a volcano transformed into a challenging and well-proportioned golf course.

Under the watchful eye of the 17th-century clubhouse, thousands of pitfalls are waiting for players of every ability. You can discover each hole gradually, with its natural obstacles and different ground levels,

Parco de' Medici Golf Club

Golf Club Parco de’ Medici is located in the heart of the 4* Sheraton hotel. One of the rare examples of a big hotel complex with a golf course in Italy. The 27 holes are formed by White Course par 35, Blue Course par 37 and Red Course par 35.

Located between Rome city centre and Rome Fiumicino International Airport, it is a well-working solution on your arrival or departure at Fiumicino Airport or for a short golf holiday.

Golf Nazionale

Golf Nazionale is the headquarter of the Italian Golf Federation's Technical Centre, 18 holes for an unforgettable experience, extremely challenging, fun to play, and never boring.

The course is very open but tough, a clear game strategy about the dangers and hazards is necessary. The greens are well-guarded and steeply contoured; putting is never easy.

Golf Nazionale is rated among the top ten Italian golf courses and one of the top thirty in Europe.
