UGOLINO GOLF CLUB

The British community in Florence brought golf to Italy in 1889 when they built an 18-hole course on land, belonging to the princes Demidoff, just north of the city. In 1934 a new course was created at the edge of the beautiful Chianti country and the Ugolino Golf Club came into existence, taking over the mantle of the Florence Golf Club.

The new course was designed by an Englishman and an Irishman Cecil Blandford and Peter Gannon. They used the natural contours of the Chianti slopes to produce an outstanding course, threaded through the indigenous vines, olive trees, maritime pines and broom.

To play Ugolino is not just to indulge in a game of golf, it is to wander through a landscape of great natural beauty. It is an unforgettable and uplifting experience.

LE PAVONIERE GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB

18 holes designed as only a world-famous player, Arnold Palmer, could design them: perfect lines of play, greens protected by insidious bunkers and strategic water hazards. The course is challenging and able to test your ability searching for the perfect round. That’s why playing here will be an unforgettable experience, whatever your level of skill.

In the heart of Tuscany just a stone’s throw from Florence, the highly emotive geometric lines merge perfectly with the landscape and the nineteenth-century villa in one of Leopoldo de Medici’s estates. Today, to enrich and beautify the surroundings, 1800 new trees of native species and banks of flowers around the water obstacles, greens and tees have been planted.

In the welcoming restaurant, you’ll discover an elegant atmosphere with attention to details. Gourmet dishes interpret the best of Tuscan tradition with a wine chosen from a top selection of labels.
